Within the framework of the 24th Meeting of District Heating Plants and the scientific and professional conference TOPS 2026, Prof. Dr. Dejan Ivezić from the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade, delivered a presentation entitled “How to Decarbonise the District Heating Sector in the Republic of Serbia?”

The presentation addressed one of the important issues of Serbia’s energy transition — reducing emissions, improving energy efficiency, and increasing the use of renewable energy sources in the district heating sector.

This topic is closely related to the research focus of the FFGreEN project, which deals with green energy transition, decarbonisation, and sustainable development in the energy consumption sector.
